Overview
In the morning, your expert English speaking tour guide will meet you at the port of Tangier upon arrival or pick you up from your accommodation. We will begin with a nice drive through the city of Tangier, and discover its diplomatic districts as well as California neighborhood, before that we make it to Cap Spartel lighthouse which is located in the meeting point of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, and then visit the legendary Hercules Caves.
We will then continue driving by the wild Atlantic coastline until we make it to Asilah. It’s time now to embark for a nice walking tour through the Kasbah and Medina of Asilah. The intact ramparts, which provided fortification and safe haven, were constructed by the Portuguese in the 15 th century on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, offering picturesque and panoramic views. The Medina’s white washed painted houses with blue and green shutters make it a remarkable spot for an artistic eye and a dreamy soul.
Our day trip to Asilah includes a visit the Palais Raisouli (depending on its opening days). The pirate Pasha Raisouli or Raisuni was a prominent Riffian Bandit, who became the governor over the northwestern Morocco. He was known for his kidnappings while asking for ransoms to numerous wealthy foreigners including Ion Perdicaris and Walter Burton Harris.
Enjoy a fish based or typically Moroccan lunch served at one of the local restaurants before driving back to Tangier.
