If you only have a half day in Tangier, then you should definitely spend it in the Medina and Kasbah, the oldest parts of Tangier.
Your licensed tour guide will pick you up from your Riad / Hotel or from the port of Tangier and take you for a wonderful walking tour off the beaten track.
You will start with a tour of the Kasbah and its streets that have many stories to tell. From Bab Bhar, you will enjoy the view over the strait of Gibraltar, then get to the museum that used to be the Sultans Palace in the 17th century.
After a traditional Moroccan meal (optional), you will head to the Medina (Old city) and enjoy a walk through its narrow alleys. You will visit the food market, pass by shops of different local products, and have a stop in Petit Socco, Grand Socco, the mendoubia gardens, and if time permits enter the Anglican church of Saint Andrew.
The tour ends either with free time for shopping or sipping mint tea in Petit Socco.
